Harrisburg School District Employee and Student COVID-19 General Protocols

Attention Harrisburg School District Employees, Students, Parents, and Guardians,

To support the health and safety of our employees and students and to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our schools and offices, the Harrisburg School District will continue to follow public health guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Effective immediately, all Harrisburg School District employees and students are required to adhere to the 2023-2024 General COVID-19 Protocols.

  • Employees are required to report if they test positive for COVID-19.  Please email a picture of the positive test with the date of the test to Mrs. Melissa Fitzgerald, R.N., BSN at MFitzgerald@hbgsd.us for further guidance.

  • If a student is positive, please email Harrisburg School District’s COVID Nurse Coordinator, Mrs. Fitzgerald, a picture of the positive test with the date at MFitzgerald@hbgsd.us or call (973) 415-7738 for further guidance.
