Dear MMSA Parents and Guardians,

You may have heard about the tragic shooting in the city of Harrisburg over the weekend, in which one of our students was shot. Thankfully, the student is recovering from her injury. Our school counselors and crisis team met with 5th grade students at Marshall Math Science Academy where the victim attends to help them process this difficult news. Our counselors will do their best to support other grades and staff as soon as possible. If your child is struggling, please do not hesitate to contact the main office at MMSA. You can also call Dauphin County Crisis Intervention at (717) 232-7511. Counselors at this number are available 24 hours a day. We are keeping the student and her family in our thoughts. None of our students should ever have to experience such violence, nor an incident such as this.
