Dear John Harris Campus Faculty, Staff, Parents, and Guardians,

As Superintendent of the Harrisburg School District, I am pleased to inform you that Mr. Laquan Magruder has been selected to serve as the new principal of Harrisburg High School, John Harris Campus.

Mr. Magruder has served students, families, and educators for more than 12 years. For eight years, Sergeant Magruder served our country as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army National Guard. Prior to joining the Harrisburg School District, Mr. Magruder served as the Principal Resident & Assistant Principal of KIPP Philadelphia Schools, a K-8 Co-Principal at Overbrook Educational Center in West Philadelphia, a Principal Fellow with the School District of Philadelphia, and founding College Access Coordinator at Freire Charter School Wilmington.
