Welcome to
HARRISBURG HIGH SCHOOL NJROTC
"WE ARE FAMILY"
NJROTC is a citizenship development program that instills service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment in students in United States secondary educational institutions. The NJROTC program teaches cadets self-discipline, self-confidence and leadership skills to help meet life's challenges and prepare them for life after high school regardless of what career path they decide to take. Cadets who participate in the program do not have to serve in the military after high school graduation - it's simply another elective offered at Harrisburg. However, NJROTC cadets do have a higher than average graduation rate and a good portion go on to successful college and career life.
Harrisburg NJROTC is among the Nation's elite programs and we have teams in Marksmanship, Drill, Athletic and Academic areas. We travel to many northeastern states including New York, Maryland, DC and New Jersey to compete.
NJROTC strives to give our cadets a better "world view" to give them more choices and open as many doors for their future as possible. In support of that we take frequent trips to museums, bases and other important educational sites. We have a Navy Ball every year in the Fall to celebrate the birthday of the Navy and Marine Corps. We take particular interest in community service events and make a point to do as many in their own community as possible. Please review the calendar for opportunities to chaperone.
We wouldn't be able to do any of these things without your support. In NJROTC and in school as a whole, parental support of our program, the teachers and the school is paramount to your child's success. Please get involved!!!! Even the smallest things can make a huge difference!!!
Please feel free to contact our instructor at the school.
We Look forward to hearing from and seeing you in the near future!!!
