• Dear Melrose Family:

It is with great excitement that I come into the 2023-24 school year as your new Principal at Melrose. I heard great things about the school and its families.

I have been in education for 24 years at the elementary level broken down with 7 years in the classroom, 5 years as an assistant principal and 12 years as principal. My undergrad was at Albright College where I was a dual major in Business Administration Marketing and Elementary Education. During my 11 years in Richmond, VA, I earned my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership through Virginia Commonwealth University. After moving back to PA in 2010 and taking on my first principal role, I then earned my Superintendent Letter of Eligibility through California University of PA.

We will have high expectations with high levels of support by working with you, communicating to you, and being a team to educate and grow your beautiful children.

  • Greetings Melrose Family!!

My name is Mrs. Tammeron Cobb and I am pleased to have been selected to succeed Ms. Christine Estright as your Assistant Principal.

I have been building relationships with students and families in the Harrisburg School District since 1999. That year,  I started my teaching career in 4th grade at Woodward Elementary. While there I also taught 1st grade, a 4th/5th grade split class, and a 6th/7th grade split class. When Woodward was closed, I was transferred to Ben Franklin as a 1st grade teacher and then a 5th grade teacher. The district then moved 5th grade to middle schools and I was transferred to Camp Curtin Academy. Finally, I ended my teaching career at Cougar Academy as a 6th grade teacher.

I am super excited to join the Melrose family to continue building long lasting relationships with students and families. With my experience and your dedication to your students, together we can create greatness! Go Cougars!!
