District Improvements

New equipment has been installed in kitchens across the district. The new equipment includes 10 pass through food warmers, 11 double convection ovens, 11 double door refrigerators, 3 double door freezers, and 1 milk cooler.

The Foose Elementary auditorium and gymnasium received new paint. Around the building, new doors were installed and bathrooms were renovated. The library got a new projector and new ceiling tiles and lighting.

New outdoor playground seating was added to Downey Elementary.

Room renovations and safety bollards

The cafeteria, kitchen, and gymnasium in Marshall Math and Science Academy were painted this summer.

Over the past year, Camp Curtin Middle School underwent significant renovations. The gymnasium was upgraded, and the HVAC system received a major overhaul. The interior of the building was freshly painted and fitted with new LED lighting. The Camp Curtin Media Center underwent a complete renovation. Camp Curtin classrooms were upgraded this year with new Epson speakers to improve sound quality for videos and presentations.

A series of upgrades are planned across the John Harris campus to enhance learning, athletic, and community spaces.

The John Harris Auditorium will undergo a full remodel. The Field House will be repainted, and new turf and upgraded athletic flooring in the weight room will be installed. A major roofing project will be completed, which will involve replacing and upgrading approximately half of the existing roof.

The Steele Building underwent significant renovations in preparation for the 2024–25 school year.

Key improvements include the remodeling of the cafeteria and kitchen, enhancements to the auditorium, updated flooring, new windows, a modernized HVAC system, and new playgrounds. Numerous areas throughout the building were also upgraded or newly constructed to support a better learning environment.
