Th office of Community Engagement operates as an extension of the Superintendent’s Office. It is the CONNECTION between our families, community, students, staff, and administration. Our goal is to provide opportunities for individuals to express themselves and ensure that Incidents or concerns receive adequate responses in a timely manner.

 

Translation and interpreter services are available upon request. If you need this service, please inform the contact person at each level of the Incident process.

  1. Process of Reporting Incident(s):
  1. Classroom Protocol:
  • Contact Teacher
  • Contact Principal
  • Contact School Improvement Officer
  • No resolution formal Incident filed at District Administration Building

 

  1. School Protocol:
  • Contact Principal
  • Contact School Improvement Officer
  • No resolution formal Incident filed at District Administration Building

 

  1. Concern(s) about a Principal:
    • Contact School Improvement Officer
    • No resolution; complete an Incident Report form at District Administration Building

 

  1. Concern(s) about an Employee:
    • Make direct contact with Office of Human Resources

 

  1. Process for Unresolved Issues and/or Incident Reports:
    • Complete Incident Report Form – Form is available at all schools and District Office: 1601 State Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103.
    • Your concern will be investigated by the Community Engagement Liaison.
    • The appropriate administrator will be contacted to provide an opportunity to conduct the necessary resolution to the concern.

 

Please note: If your Incident/concern is not resolved, the Incident/concern will be forwarded to the Assistant to the Superintendent (Elementary or Secondary)

 

If the Incident/concern is still not resolved by the Assistant to the Superintendent, your Incident/concern will be reviewed by the Superintendent. If your Incident/concern is regarding a district policy or procedure, the concern will be addressed to the Board of School Directors.

 

Note: The person submitting the Incident Report is encouraged to accurately document and provide a timeline of events.
